2018 at Eva Academy

The year just passed had us head down tail up creating content and preparing our business for accreditation. Before we dive into 2019, we would like to share with you a little of what we got up to last year..

Design of our logo – probably our most arduous task to date. Would you believe that our colour palate was a cheese board & napkin – true story!

●  Delivery of our website www.eva-academy.com to broadcast our developing idea as far and wide as we can. This contains a little about us, our vision and the courses we are working to deliver in 2019. This was made possible with the creative vision of Allison from Dotcom Creative.

●  Meeting our copywriter and marketing star Grace, at Starving Artist Publications. Grace has been helping us with our content delivery throughout the year.

●  Soft Launch at Pourboy Southbank. We had a fantastic turnout and showing of support for our business. Emma presented our business model to prospective coaches and students. We have further refined out mentor program and initial offerings based off industry feedback on the night.

●  RTO accreditation – July marked our acceptance on the journey to accreditation as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This is due for completion August, 2019.

New Relationships – During our continuous journey to build our network we met Geoff Wade who introduced us to the US company WTRI, who invited us as subject matter experts to advise and review a new scenario based learning program in virtual reality. We hope this relationship will continue through their product improvements.

●  Eva Consulting – We have explored this concept within our network, working on the below assignments:

     o Project Governance review

     o Project Prioritisation tool development

o 1-1 mentoring for up and coming Project Managers

This venture has shown some promising results, and we are looking forward to what 2019 will bring for this arm of the business.

●  Contributed to the PMDoS – an initiative where PM’s volunteer their time for a day to assist community organisations with their projects. We helped Greengold Art Inc, an environmental sustainability and community development charity through their discovery journey for three projects. The main one being education on the environmental impacts of single use plastics in Indonesia. Both single use plastic, and quality education are issues we are very passionate about here at Eva.

Personally – Emma finished her assignment at Tabcorp (Tatts), and is now consulting at Patient Zero and Babble Technology. Whilst Alex managed to break his leg and has also finished up at Suncorp – allowing some extra time and attention on the operations side at Eva.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in Eva Academy throughout 2018. We would not have achieved what we have without the network around us.

We wish you happiness and continued success in 2019.

Alex & Emma
